About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and provide caring service to patients and customers. Technicians follow company Standard Operating Procedures and pharmacy workflow procedures, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team environment. They must complete company training and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements; duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are satisfied. Technicians may provide additional patient health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, when permitted by law and supported by required training and certification. Where permitted, Technician Immunizers may complete additional training and licensure requirements to prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients, refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies.
