About The Position

Trillium Health Partners is seeking two casual Pharmacy Technicians to join their team. This role involves receiving hands-on training, working alongside dedicated professionals, and contributing to a thriving environment of innovation and career growth. The position focuses on delivering quality patient care and excellent customer service, enhancing patient safety through accurate pharmaceutical product preparation and release. Duties include working in a computerized automated Unit Dose setting, repackaging, and intravenous admixing. Pharmacy Technicians will also collaborate with other technicians to provide teaching to pharmacy students.

Requirements

  • Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).
  • Sound working knowledge of computer applications, specifically EPIC and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to handle a variety of complex tasks and issues promptly and efficiently while maintaining accuracy and meeting conflicting deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience in providing exceptional patient-centered care.
  • Ability to function efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a dynamic team of professionals.
  • Satisfactory performance and attendance required.

Nice To Haves

  • Preceptor training with OCP is an asset.
  • Membership with the Canadian Associate of Pharmacy Technicians (C.A.P.T) is an asset.
  • Experience in a hospital pharmacy is preferred.
  • Experience with Swisslog automation is an asset.
