The Pharmacy Technician will perform duties in a computerized automated Unit Dose setting, including repackaging and intravenous admixing, and will collaborate with other Pharmacy Technicians to provide teaching to pharmacy students.
Requirements
- Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).
- Sound working knowledge of computer applications, including EPIC and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to handle a variety of complex tasks and issues promptly and efficiently while maintaining accuracy and meeting conflicting deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience in providing exceptional patient-centered care.
- Ability to function efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a dynamic team of professionals.
- Satisfactory performance and attendance required.
Nice To Haves
- Preceptor training with OCP is an asset.
- Membership with the Canadian Associate of Pharmacy Technicians (C.A.P.T) is an asset.
- Experience in a hospital pharmacy is preferred.
- Experience with Swisslog automation is an asset.
