The Pharmacy Technician works under the direct supervision of staff pharmacists, according to standard procedures. They prepare medications pursuant to physician orders, perform sterile and non-sterile compounding in the Main Pharmacy, repackage bulk medication in unit dose form, restock automatic dispensing machines, answer phone calls and troubleshoot questions within the scope of their practice, participate in inventory management activities, conduct regular unit inspections, maintain appropriate records and documentation, and routinely participate in departmental educational initiatives.
