Pharmacy Technician - Accredo - Marlborough, MA (Onsite)
About The Position
Accredo Specialty Pharmacy, a division of Evernorth Health Services, part of The Cigna Group, is seeking high-energy, positive individuals to join their pharmacy technician team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring specialty prescriptions are processed and shipped appropriately to reach patients. This role is crucial in the mission to make medicine safer, more affordable, and accessible. The Pharmacy Technician Associate Representative is a Band 1 Professional Career Track Role. The company values its employees and encourages internal growth. This position is worksite dependent and must be performed onsite at the Marlborough, MA location. The shift is Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern time.
Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED required
- Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license required
- Basic math skills
- General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office, use of the internet and email
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
Nice To Haves
- 1+ years of relevant work experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Fulfillment experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Select and retrieve appropriate quantities of medication and prepare corresponding labels.
- Work with a skilled team to ensure patients receive their medication in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure medications are adequately filled and support quality goals.
- Deliver administrative and operational support services in the Pharmacy.
- Define procedures under close supervision.
- Verify, print prescriptions, and perform routine duties.
- Pick up medication and assist on the packing line.
- Process requests for new and refill prescriptions.
- Select appropriate packing materials and prepare packages for shipment.
- Enclose client-specified materials to orders.
- Affix shipping labels on packages and sort by carrier.
- Clean equipment and replenish workstation supplies.
- Assist pharmacist with deliveries, inventory control, equipment cleaning, and inbound phone calls.
