About The Position

Peoples Rx is a locally owned, holistic compounding pharmacy that has served the Austin community for over 40 years. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will work closely with progressive, world-class pharmacists to provide personalized care and excellent customer service. This role is an in-person position at our Westlake location in Austin, TX.

Requirements

• Active Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) Technician or Technician Trainee license
• Must reside in the greater Austin area
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong data entry accuracy, attention to detail and efficiency
• Familiarity with pharmacy and medical terminology
• Ability to work a consistent schedule, including alternating Saturdays (10:AM�2:PM)
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods (8+ hours)

Nice To Haves

• 6 months�1 year of retail pharmacy experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Process and verify prescription orders (written and electronic)
• Accurately input prescription data into pharmacy software
• Answer phones and assist patients with questions
• Contact providers for prescription clarifications and refill authorizations
• Troubleshoot and resolve insurance claim issues
• Support pharmacists with packaging and labeling medications
• Help maintain inventory and place medication orders when directed
