About The Position

This role is for a Lead Pharmacy Technician, Full-Time, at Piedmont Columbus Midtown. The primary responsibility is to lead the daily operations of the assigned technician staff to meet the needs of patients and staff. This includes providing input to department leadership on staff development and performance, overseeing quality improvement initiatives, conducting orientation and training, managing drug distribution, and undertaking projects assigned by leadership. The role also involves functioning in accordance with standard procedures, guidelines, and regulations, assisting with invoice processing, and performing all duties of a Pharmacy Technician.

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• 2 years of pharmacy technician practice Required
• Current registration with the state Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire Required

Responsibilities

• Leading the daily operations of the technician staff assigned as they meet the needs of patients and staff.
• Providing input to department leadership regarding staff development and performance measures.
• Responsible for quality improvement, orientation and training, drug distribution, and projects as assigned by department leadership.
• Functions in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines, and state and federal regulations.
• Assists with invoice processing for department as assigned.
• Provides orientation and training to the pharmacy technician team.
• Functions in all duties of a Pharmacy Technician.
