About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician practices pharmacy in an environment focused on patient care and provides friendly, remarkable customer service to support patients’ overall health. The role interacts with patients, supports pharmacy services, and assists with prescription processing, medication inventory, and pharmacy operations. The position requires working 12 hours per week within approved availability.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Registered and/or licensed as required in the state of practice.
• Excellent customer service skills.

• Retail/community practice experience.
• Complete Meijer employer-based training if licensure is not required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients at various service points of contact.
• Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
• Enter customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
• Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
• Retrieve appropriate medications from inventory.
• Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Order prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stock prescription medication.
• Maintain a clean and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Work 12 hours a week within approved availability.
