About The Position

River Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to work part-time (weekdays only) in our Pharmacy Department. Pharmacy Technicians work under the direct supervision of the pharmacist. Pharmacy Technicians provide non-clinical support services to the pharmacist by aiding in the distribution of medications, checking and replacing outdated medications, ordering pharmaceuticals, maintaining drug inventory, and other duties as assigned by the Director of Pharmacy. Pharmacy Technicians will have job duties that align with NYS Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous Health System or retail pharmacy experience, required
• Computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Omnicell, McKesson ordering)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work closely with people and in groups
• Excellent communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Certification by the PTCB or NHA preferred
