About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow company standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, contribute to a safe and inclusive culture, and complete required company training and applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are satisfied. Depending on applicable law and training, Technicians may also provide patient health care services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, or staff offsite clinics. Where permitted, Technician Immunizers complete additional licensure and training, prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients and refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, respond to adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. The position requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and flexibility to work shifts at other stores in the market as business needs require.
