About The Position

Texas Oncology is hiring a Pharmacy Technician (IV Admixture) to support its Plano East location. This full-time position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with no weekends, call, or major holidays. The position may be classified as Level 1, Level 2, or Senior based on the candidate’s experience. Working under the direct supervision of a physician in a clinic admixture room, the technician performs the technical, nonjudgmental aspects of medication preparation. With minimal supervision, the role also handles recordkeeping and inventory control. Work is subject to sequential or final verification by a registered nurse or registered pharmacist. State law may restrict compounding or mixing activities to licensed individuals, and some incumbents may therefore be prohibited from performing those tasks. The role offers experience in inventory management, sterile compounding, retail pharmacy operations, and research as part of a collaborative, patient-centered team. Texas Oncology describes an upcoming move to a new facility with a spacious, state-of-the-art pharmacy. The organization provides community-based cancer care across Texas and southeastern Oklahoma.
