About The Position

Looking for an opportunity to grow as a pharmacy professional in a nationally recognized FQHC? PCHC is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to serve at Penobscot Community Health Center in Bangor! In this role, you’ll work within integrated care teams to provide high-quality care and service to our patients. You’ll partner with pharmacists and other pharmacy and clinic team members to accurately dispense medications and maintain inventory, equipment, and records. You must have spectacular customer service, the ability to multi-task, and the ability to maintain a safe and clean environment. Pharmacy Technician experience is also required. Apply today!

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Recent experience as a Pharmacy Technician required
Registered with the Maine State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician required
Having a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and/or an appropriate length of driving experience for insurance purposes is required.

Responsibilities

Provides high quality customer service to our patients by demonstrating respect, kindness, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
Provides direct support to pharmacists in the preparation, organization, and dispensing of medications.
Maintains pharmacy inventory, anticipating needed medications and supplies, and placing/expediting orders as appropriate.
Performs pharmacy cashier functions, collecting and reconciling payment for prescriptions and pharmacy merchandise.
Assists in maintaining compliance with quality assurance standards.
Engages and supports patients to ensure they feel heard, respected, and involved in their care.
Collaborates with pharmacy and practice teams to improve the patient experience and clinic processes.
