This is a full-time opening open to current UMC employees only. The Pharmacy Technician assists the pharmacist in the preparation, control and dispensing of medications by receiving, stocking, recording, compounding, filling, labeling and transporting medications. Assists in the retrieval, retention and processing of information, reports and clerical functions.
Requirements
- Equivalent to graduation from high school and one (1) year of experience as a pharmacy technician or completion of a formalized pharmacy technician training program that is recognized by the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy.
- Valid State of Nevada Certification as a Pharmacy Technician.
- A minimum of one year documented inpatient (hospital) Pharmacy Technician.
- Documented IV (intravenous) room experience.

- Some positions may require a valid State of Nevada Drivers License.
