Pharmacy Technician, Cystic Fibrosis - Accredo - Remote IN, FL & OH
About The Position
Accredo Specialty Pharmacy, a division of Evernorth Health Services, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join their dedicated Cystic Fibrosis (CF) team. This remote role supports the safe, timely, and accurate processing of specialty medications for patients with Cystic Fibrosis. The technician will work closely with pharmacists, clearance teams, concierge, and contact center partners to ensure efficient medication access while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and patient experience. This role involves managing complex workflows, coordinating outreach, and supporting turnaround time goals for CF therapies. Technicians will utilize internal systems like CareCentral, RxHome, and TMW, and will assist with prescription intake, task processing, escalations, and outbound calls. Success requires adaptability, strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate multiple systems seamlessly.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1+ year(s) of experience at Accredo/Evernorth.
- Must reside and hold a pharmacy technician license in Indiana, Ohio or Florida.
- Valid Pharmacy Technician license required in state of Indiana, Ohio or Florida.
- Basic math and computer skills including Windows navigation, Microsoft applications, internet and email required.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
Nice To Haves
- An active Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support the safe, timely, and accurate processing of specialty medications for patients with Cystic Fibrosis.
- Work closely with pharmacists, clearance teams, concierge, and contact center partners to ensure efficient medication access.
- Maintain high standards of quality, compliance, and patient experience.
- Manage complex workflows, coordinate outreach, and support turnaround time (TAT) goals for CF therapies.
- Work confidently in CareCentral, RxHome, and TMW.
- Assist with prescription intake, task processing, escalations, and outbound calls.
- Make outbound calls to patients or providers as needed to support follow-up and coordination.
- Learn internal systems, processes, and programs as needed.
