About The Position
Responsible for the preparation, storage, and distribution of medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Training as per State Board of Pharmacy requirements.
- Knowledge of trade and generic drug names and aseptic technique for preparing all types of IVs.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and sufficient typing skills for computer order entry.
- General understanding of pharmacy computer applications and ability to use common reference material.
- Ability to withstand the stress of a high-activity area.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English to communicate effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Pharmacy Technician License required.
- BLS or ACLS required for ICH/QVH.
- Annual 2 hours of stroke education required for employees working at QVH.
Nice To Haves
- Acute care experience preferred.
