About The Position

Accredo Specialty Pharmacy, a division of Evernorth Health Services, a part of The Cigna Group, is looking for high-energy, positive individuals to join their pharmacy technician team. This role is responsible for ensuring prescriptions are dispensed and shipped appropriately within corporate and regulatory guidelines. The position is located at the Norcross, GA location and operates Monday - Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The company is on a mission to make medicine safer, more affordable, and accessible for millions of Americans.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED required
  • State of Georgia Pharmacy Technician license required
  • 1+ year(s) of relevant work experience as a Pharmacy Technician; preferably within a retail/specialty pharmacy setting.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within a dispensing pharmacy setting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced pharmacy production environment.
  • Basic math skills and General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office, use of the internet and email
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Select and retrieve appropriate quantities of medication and prepare the labels that correspond.
  • Help manage and store inventory in a correct and safe manner following USP Guidelines.
  • Work with a skilled team to ensure patients get the medication they need in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and production clerks to ensure that medications are adequately filled and support the pharmacy's quality goals.
  • Deliver straight forward administrative and operational support services in the Pharmacy.
  • Works to clearly define procedures under close supervision.
  • Besides verifying, printing prescriptions and doing routine duties, techs pick up the medication and help on the packing line.
  • Work within USP 800 Hazardous Guidelines and other drug handling guidelines to ensure the safety of our team and patients.
