Pharmacy Technician (FT) - Carolina Forest
About The Position
The Pharmacy Technician maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. They understand the components of the Patient Medication Profile and use this information for problem resolution. They also understand and utilize pharmacy software to participate in workflow and assist in resolving medication-related issues. The technician uses the computer system to maintain accuracy of medication documentation or charges, charging for dispensed medications and crediting medications that are returned to the pharmacy. They assist the Pharmacists in the Operation of the Drug Distribution System and participate in staff huddles. They perform state certified technician tasks as outlined by South Carolina Board of Pharmacy under direct supervision of a pharmacist. They work well with others and as a part of a team, and maintain organization and cleanliness of the work environment. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
