Pharmacy Technician - Per Diem - Varied Shifts - MHM
About The Position
The per diem Pharmacy Technician works under the direct supervision of licensed Pharmacists to provide distributive pharmacy services and support to the Pharmacy Department. The role assists with the distribution, dispensing, and compounding of non-sterile medications and related supplies in compliance with accreditation, legal, regulatory, and safety requirements. The position also performs sterile compounding, including limited hazardous medications, in accordance with regulatory requirements. The Pharmacy Technician assists with medication and supply procurement, process improvement, and continuous quality and safety monitoring initiatives. The role requires critical thinking, effective communication, decisive judgment, teamwork with minimal supervision, and the ability to respond positively in a stressful environment while meeting the department’s physical demands. The position is located in Miramar, Florida, and the listed shift is nights.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT) license in the State of Florida.
- Experience is preferred but not required.
- Critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work well with others in a team with minimal supervision.
- Ability to respond positively in a stressful environment and meet the physical demands of the department.

Responsibilities
- Assist with procurement of medications and supplies through various ordering platforms.
- Perform sterile compounding, including limited hazardous medications, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Perform all duties of a Pharmacy Technician and activities within the Pharmacy Technician scope of practice.
- Assist with process improvement and continuous quality and safety monitoring initiatives.
- Provide distributive pharmacy services and support to the Pharmacy Department under the direct supervision of licensed Pharmacists.
- Assist in the distribution, dispensing, and compounding of medications and related supplies in compliance with applicable requirements.
