Pharmacy Technician

CVS Health•Highland Park, IL
•Onsite

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence in retail stores. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers and help ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly, prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and patients receive caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and best practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe and inclusive team culture. After starting, they must complete the company training program and satisfy applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements; duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are met. Depending on state law and required training and certification, Technicians may provide additional patient health services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, or staff offsite clinics. Technicians who obtain Technician Immunizer status may help prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients and refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and respond to adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. This part-time position has an anticipated schedule of 20 hours per week. The stated pay range is $16.00–$24.00 per hour. The actual offer depends on factors such as experience, education, and geography.
