About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to support oncology pharmacy operations at a new Oncology Center. The position focuses on the safe preparation and handling of hazardous medications and collaboration with pharmacists and the oncology care team. It is located in Gold Beach, Oregon. The schedule consists of 8-hour day shifts, primarily Monday through Friday, with required weekend on-call responsibilities. All onboarding requirements must be completed in a timely manner, two weeks before the start date.

Requirements

• An active Pharmacy Technician license is preferred at the time of submission; candidates without a license will be considered.
• Recent experience in a hospital and/or clinical pharmacy setting is required.
• Experience with USP <800> hazardous drug handling and compounding is essential.
• Ability to work independently in a rural healthcare environment.

Nice To Haves

• Prior oncology pharmacy experience in a hospital setting.
• Experience compounding chemotherapy and other hazardous medications.
• Experience in an oncology infusion center or hospital oncology pharmacy.
• Familiarity with pharmacy information systems, electronic health records (EHRs), and compounding software.
• Experience supporting chemotherapy treatment workflows.

Responsibilities

• Support oncology pharmacy operations, including preparation and management of hazardous medications in compliance with USP <800> standards.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and the oncology care team to support efficient medication management.
• Prepare compounded medications safely and accurately.
