About The Position

Accredo Specialty Pharmacy, a division of Evernorth Health Services, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a full-time, work-from-home position. This role involves assisting patients with rare and/or chronic diseases by ensuring timely shipment of life-sustaining medications. The Pharmacy Technician will engage with patients, insurance companies, and various departments to process prescription orders. The position is detail-oriented, requiring significant time spent on a computer system for data entry and phone communication.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience
• Valid Pharmacy Technician license or trainee license in the state of AZ or PA
• Tech Savvy - Strong computer / data entry ability with Microsoft Office products
• High speed internet with wired ethernet connection
• Private & quiet workspace
• Must reside within the state of Pennsylvania or Arizona

Nice To Haves

• Phone experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound calls for welcoming patients, gathering demographics, and arranging first shipments.
• Create requests and make outbound calls to providers and doctor's offices for prescription requests.
• Perform data entry functions, ensuring accurate entry of prescriptions into the system.
• Investigate non-clinical issues with pharmacists, doctors, and other healthcare providers.
• Juggle multiple tasks without sacrificing attention to detail.
