About The Position

Accredo Specialty Pharmacy, a division of Evernorth Health Services, part of The Cigna Group, is looking for high-energy, positive individuals to join their pharmacy technician team. This team is responsible for ensuring prescriptions are dispensed and shipped appropriately within corporate and regulatory guidelines to reach patients. The role involves selecting and retrieving medications, preparing labels, problem-solving for patients, and collaborating with pharmacists and production clerks to ensure medications are adequately filled and quality goals are met. Technicians also assist with picking up medication and packing. The company emphasizes a supportive environment with training and opportunities for growth.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED required
  • Basic math skills
  • General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office, use of the internet and email
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and quality

Nice To Haves

  • Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred
  • 1+ years of relevant work experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Select and retrieve appropriate quantities of medication and prepare the labels that correspond.
  • Use problem-solving skills to assist patients.
  • Ensure patients receive their medication in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and production clerks to ensure medications are adequately filled and support quality goals.
  • Deliver administrative and operational support services in the Pharmacy.
  • Define procedures under close supervision.
  • Pick up medication and help on the packing line.
  • Assist with training and learning new systems and relationships with peers.
