About The Position

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the pharmacy operations and delivering quality pharmaceutical care to our patients. You will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist and assist in dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or equivalent) required or in the process of obtaining.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in using pharmacy software and technology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adhere to ethical and legal standards in pharmacy practice.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a pharmacy technician program is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is a plus.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and processes is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels, including receiving and checking in pharmaceutical supplies.
  • Manage medication storage and organization to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Process prescription orders, including entering information into the pharmacy software system and verifying insurance coverage.
  • Provide information and counseling to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and storage requirements as directed by the pharmacist.
  • Respond to patient inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Perform routine administrative tasks, such as managing pharmacy records and maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care for patients.
  • Execute other duties as assigned by the supervising pharmacist or pharmacy manager.
