Pharmacy Technician - Vanderbilt Integrated Pharmacy

This position is within the Pharm MSS Facility Tech 3 organization and supports the ongoing duties and responsibilities of a pharmacist with occasional guidance. Tasks performed contribute directly to the preparation and/or dispensing of a final dosage form for administration to a patient and are directly supervised by a pharmacist. The role also involves providing customer service by answering phone requests and triaging calls, and applying departmental processes regarding inventory control.
Requirements
- Registered Pharmacy Technicians or Certified Pharmacy Technicians through PTCB or NHA.
- Relevant Work Experience
- Less than 1 year of experience.
- Graduate of an approved discipline specific program.
- LIC-Pharmacy Technician - Tennessee

Responsibilities
- Assists the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing and/or distribution of medications.
- Applies departmental processes regarding inventory control.
- Performs activities as directed by Pharmacists and/or Pharmacy Managers in accordance with federal, state and local laws/regulations and hospital policies.
- Delivers outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Operates computer systems and utilizes technology.
- Provides customer service by answering phone requests and triaging calls to the appropriate person if they cannot answer the requested information.
- Applies departmental processes regarding inventory control.
