About The Position

Performs tasks within the department which directly support the ongoing duties and responsibilities of the pharmacist(s). Tasks performed contribute directly to the preparation and/or dispensing of medications while under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. Provides customer service by answering phone requests and triages calls to the appropriate person if he/she cannot answer the requested information. Applies departmental processes, as guided by corporate initiatives, regarding inventory control. Requirements

  • Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician through either PTCB or NHA in order to be considered.
  • LIC-Pharmacy Technician - Tennessee
  • Relevant Work Experience
  • 1 year
  • Graduate of an approved discipline specific program

Nice To Haves

  • Hospital experience preferred.
  • Sterile compounding experience preferred.
  • Additional weekend availability is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the pharmacist(s) in the distribution of medications.
  • Assists the pharmacist(s) in the preparation of medications.
  • Assists the pharmacist(s) in processes regarding inventory control.
  • Operates computer systems and utilizes technology.
  • Familiar with organization and function of all units.
