About The Position
Join the #1 hospital in Wisconsin as a Pharmacy Technician at the Pharmaceutical Research Center, a specialized section of the UW Health Pharmacy Department that manages study medications for Clinical Research Trials. As a Pharmacy Technician Specialist, you will be responsible for managing inventory for over 250 different clinical trials, including shipment receipt/verification of investigational drugs, study drug ordering, and expiration monitoring. You will also prepare research medications for inpatients and outpatients, ensuring accuracy in protocol, drug, and subject identification. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- 6 months experience as a pharmacy technician, completion of accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program, or completion of second year of pharmacy school.
- Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician Registration Upon Hire
