About The Position

The Emergency Department (ED) Pharmacy Technician – Medication History Specialist plays a critical role in obtaining, verifying, and documenting accurate medication histories for patients upon admission. Working under the supervision of an ED Pharmacist, the technician collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal medication reconciliation, minimizing medication errors and enhancing patient safety.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB or ExCPT - required within one (1) year of hire date
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a retail pharmacy technician

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a pharmacy technician training program
  • One (1) year of hospital pharmacy technician experience
