About The Position

Freedom Fertility Pharmacy, a division of Evernorth Health Services, is seeking Lead Pharmacy Technicians for a remote position within Arizona. This role involves acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and leader for pharmacy technicians, focusing on fertility medications and patients. The Lead Pharmacy Technician will coordinate daily workflow, provide coaching, interact with healthcare providers, guide patients on medication coverage, support new employees, conduct audits, identify training needs, create/modify SOPs, and champion continuous improvement efforts. The role requires juggling multiple tasks with attention to detail.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years Pharmacy Technician work experience.
  • Valid AZ Pharmacy technician license and national certification.
  • Experience with Script Med system.
  • Ability to resolve escalations using good judgement and decision making skills.
  • Deep understanding of the Pharmacy Technician process.
  • Basic Math skills and Strong experience with MS Office, especially with Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment to learn quickly, solve problems, and make decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to self-direct, multi-task, be accountable, approachable, and organized.
  • Must reside within the state of Arizona.
  • Reliable internet connectivity provided through a wired connection (cable broadband or fiber optic with at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload). Mobile or hotspot is not acceptable.

  • Experience with coaching or mentoring a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor daily workflow in the pharmacy.
  • Lead team huddles and provide initial coaching and direction to pharmacy technicians.
  • Interact with healthcare providers and provide guidance to patients about medication coverage.
  • Support and train new employees.
  • Conduct quality and productivity audits.
  • Identify ongoing training and retraining opportunities on team.
  • Create, modify, and adhere to SOP/SWI.
  • Cross trained in multiple areas while maintaining proficiency and accuracy.
  • Act as a champion of continuous improvement efforts for team, site, and work stream.
  • Juggle multiple tasks without sacrificing attention to detail.
