As a Specialty Pharmacy Technician, you’ll be responsible for interpreting and entering prescription data in our pharmacy system, answering incoming calls, and completing outbound calls to / from patients, physicians and pharmacists while ensuring a high level of customer service and maximized productivity. This role is equally challenging and rewarding. You’ll need to work within multiple computer systems simultaneously as you respond to questions or provide specific medication details / clinical information. It’s a fast paced, high-volume environment where our members are counting on us to deliver these important, sometimes life – saving medications in an accurate and efficient manner.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Current Pharmacy Technician state license in state of employment without restrictions
  • 1+ years of pharmacy prescription processing experience
  • 1+ years of experience with computer navigation and Microsoft programs such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Ability to work between the hours of 7 AM to 7 PM Monday through Friday. Shift will be consistent once determined. Overtime may be required on weekdays and weekends as needed
  • Reside in one of the following states: Michigan, Florida, Arizona, Texas
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
  • Telecommuting is not to be used as a substitute for children or dependent care. In order to dedicate full attention to work duties, employees must establish or continue regular child or dependent care arrangements while telecommuting.
  • All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.
  • Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment.

Responsibilities

  • Verify appropriate and accurate patient information
