PHARMACY TECHNICIAN II
About The Position
Under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, Supervisor, and/or Director of Pharmacy Services, performs a wide variety of Pharmacy duties to meet the needs for patients in the hospital. Pharmacy Technician duties include filling routine drug orders for unit dose medications, refilling medications in Pharmacy Automated Dispensing Cabinets, performing Non-Sterile and Sterile Compounding. Other duties include repackaging of medication into unit dose barcoded packages, replenishes code carts drug supply and performs inventory duties for the Central Pharmacy operation.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience in Acute Care setting as Pharmacy Technician preferred
- Hospital pharmacy experience desirable
- IV/Sterile compounding desirable
- Pharmacy Internship Registration - Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
- Pharmacy Technician - Board of Registration in Pharmacy (Massachusetts)
