About The Position
The Pharmacy Technician II - Retail position at Glenbrook Hospital is a full-time role requiring 32 hours per week. The role involves assisting the Pharmacist with medication preparation, filling, and dispensing, maintaining patient records, setting up, packaging, and labeling medication doses, and managing the inventory of drug supplies. This position is located at Glenbrook Hospital and operates on a Monday-Friday schedule with rotating shifts, including weekends and rotating holidays, from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm. Travel is required for this position.
Requirements
- Current Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician license required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must become certified by successfully passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) examination or another Board-approved pharmacy technician examination, within 2 years of initial licensure.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred
- Prior technician experience or hospital experience preferred
- Retail experience preferred for retail positions
