About The Position
The Pharmacy Technician II - Home Care Specialty Pharmacy position is responsible for entering prescriptions into pharmacy software, pulling and labeling medications, preparing packages for delivery following cold chain distribution procedures, performing outpatient phone triage, contacting patients to schedule refills and conduct disease assessments, performing insurance adjudication and troubleshooting, and receiving and entering inventory into pharmacy software. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 3+ years of work experience in a related job discipline, and PTCB certification and OH Board of Pharmacy certification.

Responsibilities
- Enters prescriptions into pharmacy software for pharmacist review.
- Pulls and labels hazardous and nonhazardous medications for pharmacist verification.
- Demonstrates ability to complete basic pharmacy math calculations for specialty medications.
- Prepares packages for delivery following specific cold chain distribution procedures.
- Performs outpatient phone triage.
- Contacts patients to schedule refills and conduct disease assessments.
- Performs insurance adjudication and troubleshooting.
- Receives and enters inventory into pharmacy software.
