About The Position

United Health Services (UHS) is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I to join the Inpatient Pharmacy team at UHS Wilson Medical Center. Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, the technician supports the preparation and dispensing of medications, maintains inventory, and provides customer service. The role is suited to individuals beginning a pharmacy career and seeking hands-on experience in an inpatient pharmacy setting.

This is a 40-hour-per-week position with a rotational shift. The compensation range is $17.98–$25.17 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Obtain Pharmacy Technician Board (PTCB) certification within eighteen months of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Successful completion of a pharmacy technician training program.

Responsibilities

• Provide generalist support to help ensure the pharmacy department operates efficiently, including assisting with medication or prescription processing for patients and appropriate patient care areas.
• Help maintain a neat and clean dispensing area and perform functions needed in the pharmacy department’s daily routine.
• Assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing prescription medications.
• Accurately enter patient and prescription information into the pharmacy system.
• Label and package medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
