About The Position

United Health Services (UHS) is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join its Retail Pharmacy team at UHS Pharmacy Johnson City. Working under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, the technician supports medication preparation and dispensing, inventory maintenance, and customer service. The position is suited to someone beginning a pharmacy career and seeking hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting.

The technician functions as a generalist, helping keep pharmacy operations efficient by assisting with prescription processing for patients and appropriate patient care areas. The role also includes maintaining a neat, clean, and organized dispensing area and assisting with the pharmacy department’s daily routine.

The regular schedule is 40 hours per week on a rotational shift. Compensation is $17.98–$25.17 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Successful completion of a pharmacy technician training program.

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacy operations by assisting with processing medications and prescriptions for patients and appropriate patient care areas.
• Assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing prescription medications.
• Enter patient and prescription information accurately into the pharmacy system.
• Label and package medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized dispensing area and pharmacy environment.
• Help maintain an efficient pharmacy department and perform functions needed for its daily routine.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations.
