About The Position
United Health Services (UHS) is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join its Retail Pharmacy team at UHS Pharmacy Johnson City. Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, the technician supports the preparation and dispensing of medications, maintains inventory, and provides customer service. The role is described as suitable for individuals beginning a pharmacy career and seeking hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. The position is scheduled for 40 hours per week on a rotational shift. Compensation is $17.98–$25.17 per hour, depending on experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Successful completion of a pharmacy technician training program.
Responsibilities
- Provide generalist support to help maintain an ongoing and efficient pharmacy department by assisting with medication or prescription processing for patients and appropriate patient care areas.
- Assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing prescription medications.
- Enter patient and prescription information accurately into the pharmacy system.
- Label and package medications under pharmacist supervision.
- Maintain inventory.
- Help keep the dispensing area neat and clean and perform functions necessary to the pharmacy department’s daily routine.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
- Provide excellent customer service.
