About The Position

Texas Health HEB is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I for their Night Shift. This role is crucial in ensuring the timely and accurate preparation, delivery, and storage of medications. Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
1 year pharmacy tech experience in healthcare setting preferred
RPhT - Registered Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire Required
Other IV Certification Preferred

Responsibilities

Timely and accurate preparation, delivery to the nursing units/appropriate departments & storage of medications, including (when appropriate) the use of technology to do so, varies by location.
Ensuring accuracy of one's own work as well as the maintenance of required competencies, and other documentation. Must reflect consistently departmental quality improvement and Patient Safety standards, programs, and initiatives.
Ongoing professional development and growth, leads by example, perpetuates accountability, manages own time.
Communicate effectively, develop positive working relationships and role model teamwork that reflects the Texas Health Promise Behaviors. Trains new employees on routine tasks, under the direction of designated personnel.
Shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.
