Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry
About The Position
Altruix is seeking a Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry to join its Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy team in Annapolis, Maryland. This is a full-time, onsite position primarily scheduled Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, with occasional Saturday shifts as needed. The role focuses on data entry in a fast-paced pharmacy environment and supports high-volume fulfillment, packaging, and inventory workflows. Compensation ranges from $22.00 to $25.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Altruix is a high-touch pharmacy serving behavioral health and intellectual and developmental disability populations. Its pharmacy expertise and specialized packaging aim to promote medication adherence, improve patient outcomes, and reduce administrative burden for providers.
Responsibilities
- Input patient data and medication orders into pharmacy systems.
- Process prescriptions, including filling, packaging, and labeling medications in accordance with state regulations.
- Support high-volume production workflows while meeting accuracy and productivity standards.
- Maintain and update resident profiles, including medication changes and order clarifications.
- Process inbound faxes and triage new prescriptions from facilities.
- Communicate with internal teams and partner facilities to support timely and accurate order processing.
- Assist with inventory management and periodic cycle counts.
- Handle returned medications for credit or proper disposal.
- Answer incoming calls and assist with inquiries as needed.
- Support team members and assist with training when applicable.
- Escalate issues or concerns to the Pharmacy Manager as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
