About The Position

As a Front End Pharmacy Technician at Omnicare, you will perform order-entry tasks and collaborate with team members in the medication-dispensing process at a closed-door pharmacy. The front-end team enters orders, works alongside pharmacists to ensure accuracy, and provides customer service. This role supports Omnicare as it transitions to an independent, standalone organization and contributes to its continued operations and growth.

Requirements

• Certification, licensure, or registration as a pharmacy technician, or as required by state law.
• One or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Verifiable high school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in the long-term care industry.
• PTCB National Certification.

Responsibilities

• Triage customer service requests by department, urgency, and the information or response required.
• Calculate and/or verify correct dosages based on prescriptions.
• Assist in reviewing that narcotic prescriptions are returned in a timely manner.
• Provide the dispensing pharmacist with information about allergies, drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, and other items flagged by the computer.
• Create and maintain accurate customer records.
• Perform order-entry tasks and collaborate with team members in the medication-dispensing process.
• Work alongside pharmacists to help ensure order accuracy and provide customer service.
