About The Position

The Pharmacy Tech IV is responsible for preparing medication admixtures and other specialized pharmacy products, including IV solutions, unit dose syringes, chemotherapy medications, and compounded solutions or medications for critical care and OR satellite areas. The role maintains adequate stock levels in assigned areas and follows standard written procedures, guidelines, and state and federal regulations. The technician collaborates with pharmacy and technical staff to define and document business rules and best practices, and performs Pharmacy Technician duties as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Current registration with the state Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• Previous pharmacy technician experience with IV admixtures.
• PTCB Certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare medication admixtures for IV solutions.
• Prepare unit dose syringes and chemotherapy medications.
• Compound solutions and medications used in critical care and OR satellite areas.
