About The Position

This role supports the Marshall Pharmacy by managing accreditation reports, assisting with audits, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy standards. The specialist will communicate with patients and healthcare providers, maintain important documentation, and perform various operational tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of the pharmacy. This position also involves staying current with industry requirements and assisting with training and other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, including Asembia, Excel, pharmacy operating system (Pioneer), and Word.
  • Familiarity with all pharmacy operating systems.
  • Knowledge of 340B requirements.
  • Ability to maintain accreditation standards.
  • Experience managing accreditation folders and filing information appropriately.
  • Experience performing cold chain tests.
  • Ability to track and label hazardous and non-hazardous drugs.
  • Experience assisting with third party and internal audits.
  • Clear and concise communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with running, managing, and documenting all required accreditation reports.
  • Assists with third party audits and ensures all are completed in a timely manner.
  • Communicates with patients, clinicians, and medical providers in a clear and concise manner.
  • Assists with quarterly accreditation meetings.
  • Manages accreditation folders and ensures all information is filed appropriately.
  • Completes internal patient assistance audits.
  • Maintains accreditation standards and ensures they are all being met.
  • Demonstrates ability to problem solve.
  • Ensures all monthly, annual, and biannual accreditation tasks are being met.
  • Assists with accreditation audits.
  • Performs required cold chain tests.
  • Keeps track of all hazardous and non-hazardous drugs and makes sure all are labeled and sequestered throughout the pharmacy.
  • Keeps up to date on 340B requirements.
  • Assists with specialty drug contracts.
  • Works adequately on all computer systems, including Asembia, Excel, pharmacy operating system (Pioneer), Word.
  • Uses all pharmacy operating systems.
  • Participates in the Performance Improvement Process.
  • Works in other positions temporarily, when necessary.
  • Assists with the training process, as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
