Pharmacy Support Specialist

About The Position

This role is full-time and remote. The individual will support the Customer Service, prior authorizations, and other needs of the TruCard Product and Pharmacy team. Responsibilities include resolving and logging all inbound member or client concerns, completing administrative tasks related to prior authorizations and appeals, supporting the clinical team in prior authorization case reviews, and supporting the clinical team with outbound member and provider calls. Additional projects and tasks may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in PBM operations, including medical necessity or prior authorization case reviews
  • Leadership experience (e.g., team lead or trainer) or experience with special projects (e.g., inventory management) will be considered for candidates without PBM experience
  • Fast learner and interested in potential growth opportunities as the product roles expand
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent technical skills in Google Work products (Docs, Drive, Slides) and Microsoft (Word, PPT, Excel)
  • Ability to work well with others in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to get things done with resources you don’t control
  • Willingness to admit you don’t know and ask for help
  • Exhibit constant curiosity and a drive to problem solve
  • Exhibit desire to learn and grow on a continuous basis

Nice To Haves

  • Pharmacy technician experience
  • PBM experience
