About The Position

Coordinates timely delivery of medications to patients’ bedsides at discharge and offers patients the opportunity to receive pharmacist counseling on medication therapy. Completes point-of-sale transactions at the bedside while providing high-quality care and service to patients and their families.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Complete Huntsville Hospital customer service courses, including Power of Excellence #3 and Service Recovery, within 180 days of hire.
• Register with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician within 30 days of hire and maintain active registration in good standing.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize and change tasks frequently and quickly.
• Proficiency in basic math applications and analyses.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate timely delivery of medications to patients’ bedsides at discharge.
