About The Position
St. Mary's Medical Center is looking for a Full Time Pharmacy Pyxis Tech. The Pyxis technician, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, assists in the management of the automated dispensing cabinets. The major job responsibilities of this position are: distribution and documentation of controlled substances, control and verification of certain stock medications and charging accountability.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Passing National Certification of Pharmacy Technicians within one year of employment
- A minimum of one (1) year experience in Pharmacy service to be eligible for the technician training program
- Satisfactory completion of the technician training program
- Typing proficiency
- Basic computer skills
- Good math skills
- Above normal motivation
- Demonstrated ability to assume responsibility
- Good moral character and integrity
- Ability to communicate with and present a pleasing personality to the public and the institutional staff
- Ability to acquire the appropriate knowledge and skills required
