Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Kroll and adjudication practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of public and private third-party payer policies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as part of daily duties.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Certificate of Registration with a Provincial College of Pharmacy plus 2+ years of related experience.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience.
  • Knowledge of the broader pharmaceutical industry.
  • Minimum 2 years of Specialty Pharmacy experience.

Responsibilities

  • Guide, coach, and mentor a team of non-pharmacist pharmacy professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous growth.
  • Champion equitable workload distribution and support cross-functional teamwork across pharmacy programs.
  • Play a hands-on role in onboarding new hires and cross-training existing team members so everyone can excel.
  • Coordinate end-to-end prescription workflow to consistently meet daily program deadlines.
  • Monitor outgoing shipments to confirm timely delivery and resolve any exceptions proactively.
  • Oversee inventory management practices and ensure routine administrative tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Enter, retrieve, and verify prescription data with meticulous accuracy.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for your assigned program portfolio — maintaining comprehensive drug and program knowledge and sharing it effectively with your team.
  • Stay informed on programs managed by other teams to enable seamless collaboration.
  • Partner with Pharmacy Managers, Pharmacists, and program management to align on priorities and deliver results.
  • Represent pharmacy at interdepartmental meetings and contribute to strategic discussions.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain Quality Assurance documentation, including CAPAs.
  • Report Adverse Events in accordance with provincial regulatory standards and contractual obligations.
  • Process manual claims, audits, and financial documentation accurately and on time.
  • Liaise with the pharmacy Accountant on accounts receivable, benefits assignment, and related records.
  • Understand and act on pharmacy performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Review and analyze reports, invoices, and financial data to support informed decision-making.
