About The Position

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking a Cellular and Gene Therapy (CGT) Pharmacist Coordinator to serve as a clinical, operational, and strategic pharmacy leader in building and advancing a comprehensive CGT program. This role involves designing the infrastructure, governance, workflows, and partnerships necessary for the safe and effective evaluation, procurement, coordination, administration, and monitoring of CGT products. The coordinator will collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, laboratory and research teams, finance leaders, and other stakeholders to translate innovative therapies into accessible, efficient, and patient-centered care. The position will also involve identifying emerging opportunities, supporting strategic planning, and shaping the future of therapy delivery at Cedars-Sinai, contributing to the safe, equitable, and financially responsible growth of CGT services while advancing the organization’s clinical, academic, and research missions. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement (up to 50% remote) and requires inpatient staffing one weekend per month.

Requirements

• Pharm.D. degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy
• Completion of a PGY1 residency or equivalent practice experience
• Current pharmacist licensure in the State of California.
• BLS certification upon hire
• Passionate about advancing innovative therapies for patients with rare and difficult to treat conditions and helping patients navigate the complexities of the healthcare system
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex clinical, operational, financial, and scientific information clearly to diverse audiences
• Maintains a strategic, forward-looking perspective on the cellular and gene therapy pipeline and identifies opportunities to prepare the organization for new therapies, technologies, indications, and treatment models
• Is comfortable working in an evolving environment where evidence, processes, and best practices continue to develop
• Maintains an excellent clinical database and critical thinking skills, including the ability to provide recommendations on the management of complex patients, utilizing organizational policies and evidence-based medicine
• Is patient-centered and committed to promoting equitable access to complex, high-cost therapies while understanding the clinical, financial, and psychosocial challenges faced by patients and families
• Possesses experience in drug information services and formulary development
• Exhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrates ability to prioritize projects to meet goals

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with physicians, pharmacists, laboratory and research teams, finance leaders, and other key stakeholders to translate innovative therapies into accessible, efficient, and patient-centered care.
• Identify emerging opportunities, support strategic planning, and help shape the future of therapy delivery at Cedars-Sinai as the CGT field evolves.
• Contribute to the safe, equitable, and financially responsible growth of CGT services.
• Advance the organization’s clinical, academic, and research missions.
• Provide inpatient staffing one weekend per month.
