About The Position

The Pharmacy Production Clerk ensures that medications meet quality control standards and are properly labeled, stored, and stocked. The clerk visually inspects medications intended for patients for defects, spills, or other quality concerns and promptly reports any issues. This role supports prescription packaging and shipping operations at Accredo. The posting lists overnight and daytime shift schedules. If working from home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be through cable broadband or fiber optic service with speeds of at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• General computer skills.
• Good visual acuity.
• Ability to read, compare, and differentiate data.
• Ability to stare at and review small medications or bottles for extended periods.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Registered Florida Pharmacy Technician (optional).

Responsibilities

• Ensure each package contains the correct paperwork, envelopes, medications, packing materials, and shipping labels before sealing and sending it to patients.
• Work on only one order at a time at the workstation.
• Ensure the address prints correctly on each package.
• Ensure bags are sealed correctly and printers are loaded with the correct paper.
• Package prescriptions requiring special handling according to specific process and policy requirements.
• Collaborate with coworkers to share best practices while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
• Keep the workstation clean.
• Visually inspect patient-bound medications for defects, spills, or quality concerns and promptly report issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
