Pharmacy Production Clerk - Accredo - Onsite
About The Position
The Pharmacy Production Clerk ensures medications meet quality-control standards and are properly labeled, stored, and stocked. The clerk visually inspects medications intended for patients for defects, spills, or other quality concerns and promptly reports issues. This is an onsite overnight position scheduled Sunday through Wednesday, 7:30 PM to 6:00 AM. The role is part of the Pharmacy Operations Group, which supports pharmacy operations and processes prescriptions through pharmacy and distribution facilities. The position requires a high school diploma or GED; no prior experience is required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- General computer skills.
- Good visual acuity.
- Ability to read, compare, and differentiate data.
- Ability to review small medications or bottles for extended periods.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Registered Florida Pharmacy Technician (optional).
Responsibilities
- Ensure each package includes the correct paperwork, envelopes, medications, packing materials, and shipping labels before it is sealed and sent to patients.
- Work on only one order at a time at the workstation.
- Ensure the address prints correctly on each package.
- Ensure bags are correctly sealed and printers are accurately loaded with the correct paper.
- Package prescriptions requiring special handling according to specific processes and policies.
- Collaborate with coworkers to share best practices while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
- Keep the workstation clean.
- Inspect patient-bound medications for defects, spills, or quality concerns and promptly report issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
