Pharmacy Processing Technician - Freedom Fertility - Hybrid - Newburyport, MA
About The Position
Freedom Fertility Pharmacy, a division of Evernorth Health Services, is seeking Pharmacy Processing Technicians to join their team. In this hybrid role, you will assist patients in obtaining necessary medications to support their family-building journeys. You will be responsible for engaging with patients, insurance companies, and various internal departments to process orders and ensure timely medication shipment. The role is highly detail-oriented, with the majority of the day spent working on the computer system. This position is for Massachusetts residents only and requires the ability to work onsite at the Newburyport, MA location.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ year of Pharmacy Technician work experience.
- Valid MA Pharmacy technician license required by state laws.
- Microsoft Office proficiency and data entry skills.
- Basic math skills (addition/subtraction/multiplication).
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be comfortable with handling patient calls as needed.
Nice To Haves
- National certification strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supporting pharmacological services by processing medications, liaising with insurance companies, and communicating with patients as needed.
- Maintaining records by recording and filing prescriptions and orders.
- Responding to requests from facility managers and co-workers, answering questions, and referring inquiries to Pharmacists.
- Complying with rules, regulations, and procedures to maintain a clean and safe pharmacy.
- Undertaking administrative tasks such as record-keeping as assigned by a Pharmacist or facility manager.
- Handling patient calls as needed.
