This job works hand in hand with ambulatory and clinical pharmacists, referring doctors, nursing staff and care coordinators by completing prior authorizations on behalf of the prescriber. Responsible for working directly with patients to determine eligibility for medication financial assistance programs; ensures patients receive timely access to their prescribed medications; and participates in special projects as needed.
