Pharmacy Intern - Per Diem - Center City Inpatient
About The Position
This role involves procuring, storing, and assisting in the dispensing of medications and pharmaceutical supplies for both patient and departmental needs. The internship aims to prepare individuals for a future role as a pharmacist by integrating knowledge of pharmaceuticals with technical and clinical experiences gained during the program. Essential functions include participating in the medication distribution system, preparing parenteral products using aseptic technique, ensuring the provision of quality pharmacy services, and interacting with colleagues, visitors, and other staff in alignment with the hospital's core values.
Requirements
- Matriculating in an accredited college of pharmacy

Responsibilities

- Prepare for a future role as a pharmacist by combining knowledge of pharmaceuticals with technical and clinical experiences learned during the internship program.
- Participate in the medication distribution system within TJUH.
- Prepare parenteral products using aseptic technique.
- Assure the provision of quality pharmacy services.
- Interact with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.
